Clinical Study of Trimetazidine in the Treatment of Inner Ear Syndrome

Abstract

|
Among the various possible etiology of cochleovestibular disturbance, ischemia seems to play a major role in the pathogenesis. There were lot¢¥s of clinical trials to dilate the Labyrinthine vessel without benifit.
Trimetazidine, a new anti-ischemic agents has been used for ischemic heart disease and ischemic cochleovestibular disturbances with good results.
So we studied to confirm the clinical efficacy and safety of trimetazidine in pe tients with inner ear symptome, such as tinnitus, vertigo and hypoacusis. The results were as follows,
f) Tinnitus, vertigo and hypoacusis were improved in 53.9%, 86,6% and 10%.
2) Symptomatic improvement were not confirmed dy vestibular function test in vertigo and only 10% were confirmed by Pure tone audiogram in hypoacusis.
